Most-Anticipated 2020 Black Friday Deals
You’d have to be living under a rock not to know that the year’s biggest shopping season is creeping upon us. Black Friday is coming a little later than usual this year, specifically on November 27th, and that means that this year’s holiday shopping season is shorter than previous years. The best thing you can do is to prepare yourself accordingly and have a game plan of what, and who, you’re shopping for this year.
Not sure where to start? We’re here to help with a list of this year’s hottest deals for Black Friday:
1. Apple deals
While Apple isn’t known for Black Friday sales, they did hold a four-day shopping event last year that coincided with Black Friday. We have our fingers crossed that they’ll do the same again this year. If they don’t, though, you’re not out of luck since retailers like Amazon and Walmart are sure to pick up the slack and offer a few much-needed discounts for Apple fans. The brand has released some new devices this year that are sure to get shoppers attention this year, like the brand new Apple Watch 5. This latest smartwatch features an always-on Retina display, improved safety features, new location features, and a built-in ECG app to monitor the wearer’s heart rate. Apple AirPods are high on holiday shopping lists this year, especially since the release of the new iPhone 11 this year. There’s even a rumor that Apple AirPods 3 might debut before the holiday shopping season, making this the best year to buy any generation of AirPods. There’s also tablets to consider, such as the iPad Pro and the new iPad 10.2, which use Apple’s newer CPUs. We love that even the older models can handle many of the current iOS games, so it doesn’t matter which generation you get. Even better than the aforementioned deals? We’re expecting the older generations of Apple products to go on deeper discounts this year due to all the new releases. Sometimes it pays to wait.
2. Amazon deals
Amazon has yet to disappoint when it comes to Black Friday sales and this year will be no different. We’re really excited to add to our budding smart home collection and try out the new Amazon Echo Dot with Clock. Last year, the Echo Dot was 50% off and this year’s Prime Day saw steep discounts on Amazon’s Fire Stick and Fire Stick 4KTV. These are great indications that this year’s Black Friday deals will be just as amazing or even better.
3. Gaming deals
In the battle for the best gaming device, and the seasonal discounts that go with them, Sony and Microsoft will continue to fight for top-tier status by offering enticing discounts on their gaming systems. The release of the PS5 is still a ways away, but the PS4 and PS4 Pro will be on sale. Microsoft’s Xbox One S and One X are likely to be bundled with some fun games, but which ones will they include? We’re dying to find out.
4. Phone deals
Just like the iPhones mentioned above, we’re anticipating the Samsung Galaxy phones to offer low-cost up-front deals like they did last year. Last year the Galaxy S9 dropped its price to below $600 and we’re hoping to see the same with the newer Samsung Galaxy S10 this year. If your phone contract is up for renewal shortly, we recommend waiting just a little bit longer to score one of these highly rated phones.
5. TV deals
Every holiday shopping season, we see TVs go for ridiculous prices and we’re excited to see what’s available this year. Many retailers offered amazing deals on 4K TVs last year and this year we’re looking for more of the same. OLED technology is dropping in price each year and this year we’re looking to see deep discounts on LG’s OLED range. There’s also Samsung’s QLED TV, meant to be their equivalent to OLED tech. There’s a great chance that you can score your dream TV for under $1000 this year, depending on the size, of course. Don’t forget to check out the original prices using tools like PriceSpy to make sure you’re getting the best deal possible this Black Friday.
